Spring is upon us and it’s already time to put some vegetables in the ground for a productive season! Although our climate makes the soil difficult to access, nothing is stopping us from being ready with the help of indoor seedlings, which are already found at some of our local farmers’ stalls.
This second episode, on seedlings, is part of a series of ten chapters produced on the occasion of the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables.
Representing 17 different countries, we are very proud of our market cultural diversity and we know you are too. If you miss travelling and discovering the world then this new series of blog posts is for you. So grab your coffee and get comfortable, this month we are taking you to Romania!
Springtime is coming, and it’s time to buy your seeds from local producers. Starting in February, we are featuring our vendors and members in a ten-part series for the International Year of Fruit and Vegetables. In this first chapter, Shannon Jones from Broadfork Farm, a local grower that will soon start to sell seeds again for the season, explains to us the thorough process that goes behind seed saving every year, and how one can start to further that important knowledge.

Among all the vendors of Dieppe’s Market, some of them have founded or bought a business during the Covid-19 pandemic. For our second article of this series of blogs, here are a few stories of vendors who had to deal with the challenges of the pandemic right after starting their new journey.
Following the announcement made by Dr. Jennifer Russell Chief Medical Officer of Health on January 19th, we would like to reassure all our dear customers: The Dieppe Market is an essential service and all the vendors that you’re used to find on Fridays and Saturdays will continue to operate.
To celebrate this long-awaited 2021 new year, the Really Local Harvest and the Moncton Food Depot Alimentaire have decided to join their forces in order to expand the access of local products to people and families in need of Greater Moncton.
